FAQs:
MultiNetwork
Messaging with users on other
IM networks
How do I log into/use other
IM networks? (e.g. MSN, ICQ, Yahoo!)
You must already have an account with each
instant Bantu Messenger network you want to login to. You
will need to set up this account in Bantu Messenger (entering
username and password) and log into the account in order to
talk to users on other networks.
Click on the 'settings' in the Bantu Messenger
application window, and choose 'MultiNetwork' to configure
your accounts on other networks.

Does Bantu Messenger store
my username and password for other networks?
By default, Bantu Messenger will save the
username and password for each network you configure. However
this is not required, and you can manually log into any network
from either the MultiNetwork configuration page in Settings,
or by right-clicking on a network name in your contact list.
You may to prefer to log in manually if you
do not wish your usernames and passwords for other networks
to be stored on the Bantu Messenger server. If you use MSN,
you should be aware that your username and password will give
access to your Microsoft Passport, which can contain credit
card details.

storing usernames and passwords for other systems?

password to Bantu Messenger and you want to remove them from
the system, just delete them from the appropriate network’s
settings.

automatically without saving my username and password to Bantu
Messenger?

automatically log you into other networks. In 'MultiNetwork'

or password. The next time you load Bantu Messenger, you will
see a login prompt for that network

I can't log in to MSN Messenger
- I used to be able to connect but now it says I have the
wrong password - but I never changed the settings - what's
wrong?
MSN Passport servers go down from time to
time. When Bantu Messenger attempts to log you into MSN it
receives a message saying your username and password isn't
valid. Usually service is restored within a few minutes. You
can confirm this is the problem by attempting to log in to
Hotmail.com. If you are unable to log in to Hotmail, and you
see an error message, that's why you can't log in to MSN Messenger.

I can't log in to ICQ - the
error is "server too busy to respond".
Bantu Messenger cannot control the availability
of other instant messaging networks. If you get the error
that ICQ servers are too busy to respond, it means the ICQ
network is too busy to respond. This may also happen to other
networks from time to time.

Why can't my Yahoo! Messenger
friends see me when I'm logged in through Bantu Messenger?
Currently Bantu Messenger - Yahoo! inter-operability
allows you to only send messages with your primary Yahoo!
profile. Any Yahoo! contacts with a secondary profile of you
on their contact list will not see you as online.

MSN Messenger and Yahoo! friends
are in my contact list, but I never added them. How did they
get there?
Bantu Messenger automatically synchronizes
with your MSN Messenger and Yahoo! contact list whenever you
connect to their networks. Any changes you have made to your
friends or blocked list from another client will automatically
be updated.

Why aren't my ICQ friends
automatically in my contact list?
ICQ stores its' contact list on your computer,
and not on a central server. As a result, there is currently
no way for Bantu Messenger to import your list of contacts.

The other instant messaging
networks limit the number of contacts I can have. Is there
a limit to the number of contacts I can have in my Bantu Messenger
contact list?
There is NO limit to the number of Bantu Messenger
contacts you may have. You may have up to 1000 contacts per
group, and an unlimited number of groups.

people?
