Federal Aviation Administration - Bantu was contracted to provide a strategic assessment and implementation plan to improve the operations and overall availability of three key websites maintained by the Federal Aviation Administration – Aviation Office of Information and Technology (AIT). Bantu staff provided an in depth assessment of the technology, operations processes, procedures, tools, and staffing plans to the AIT and related FAA organizations. As a result, availability and reliability of the three mission critical websites has now been greatly improved. Numerous staffing changes were made to the web operations team and new positions were created. Bantu staff now lead the web operations staff for this program and are an integral part of the FAA government and contracting support team. In addition, new tools to support monitoring of the platforms as well as more accurate and detailed reporting were implemented across the environment.
U.S. Army/Army knowledge Online (AKO) - The largest enterprise portal in the world selected Bantu to maintain the network infrastructure supporting the AKO's secure instant messaging systems on both classified and unclassified networks. Bantu's systems engineers provided 24 x 7 onsite and remote support of the software, security, servers, network, and Oracle database environments. Our staff also was integral in supporting security accreditation, configuration management, portal integration, and custom product development in a highly available, mission critical environment, as well as implementing and managing geographically distributed database and application infrastructure, leveraging Oracle and Shareplex.
U.S. Air Force/GCSS Air Force Portal - Bantu was tasked to maintain a portion of the quality assurance and staging environments for a very large enterprise military portal. Our staff is integral in working with the customer's business and applications development teams in gathering requirements, making technology recommendations, and interfacing with other supporting hardware and software vendors. Successfully completed projects include LDAP integration, test platform design for a new application and implementation, disaster recovery planning and system redesign, as well as implementation of various web metrics and usage tracking packages. In addition, Bantu engineers provided 24 x 7 on-call support for the production platform.
